Not An Object - feminist urban graffiti spray paint
Not An Object, Not An Ornament protests against the way our society values women and girls for their looks more than any other trait.
I live in Melbourne, a city famous for its wonderful graffiti, which has inspired me all my life. I've taken this and sprayed in a similar style onto a piece of reclaimed wood. This piece is created using stencils I designed and cut by hand, acrylic paint and spray paint. I sign it with my ‘Fixie’ stamp on the front.
This piece is approximately A3 size and the wood is about 1cm thick. The sides of the salvaged wood are painted, and a picture hanger attached to the back, so it's ready to hang without need for framing.
Note: the colours or contrast shown on your computer screen may vary slightly from the actual artwork.
